RCH shifts operate, 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm; 10pm-6am 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Applicants can not be COVID fearful. Applicants must have direct client interaction.

House Monitors are responsible for the safety and well-being of all shelter clients, assisting each client with job search/housing search, resume creation, GED preparation, maintenance of the physical site, documentation completion, donation outreach, daily cleaning/organizing, and crisis management.

House Monitors must have the ability to handle high-stress and potentially dangerous situations. House Monitors must have a basic understanding of the English language (written and verbal). House Monitors will have interactions with local law enforcement, The Suffolk County Department of Social Services, and Child Protective Services. 

House Monitors must have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. All will be fingerprinted for a criminal background check; and child abuse and maltreatment clearance through the Department of Social Services and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services ($75 fee). 

RCH staff enjoy 13 paid holidays each year and access to a 403b retirement program.  Full-time staff members also accrue PTO each pay period.
